WBMA-TV has an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, as well as, enterprising story ideas and developing contacts. Other responsibilities as assigned. A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required.

We’re looking for someone with sharp news judgment, excellent technical skills and the ability to work well independently. Experience with live shots required. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including, internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television. You must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

WBMA is seeking a Video Editor. Responsibilities include editing raw video and audio and feed items into finished product for air. Publish video and stories to station website and other media platforms. Monitor edit system components to ensure tape quality in end-product, including work space area. Update and maintain story library. Enter story information into computer library system. Provide feedback to reporters and producers on video direction. Contribute story ideas. Keep editing equipment and bays well maintained.

Ability to orally communicate in English;
Ability to read computer monitor information (words and data);
Ability to hear detailed spoken communication;
Ability to remain sedentary;
Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks with hands and fingers;
Ability to analyze data, concentrate, reason, and write; and

You should have strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethics and have a great attitude. A passion for story telling is absolutely essential in this position.

We are looking for an aggressive team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate ENG news vehicles, have at least one year shooting experience, and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment. Responsibilities will involve editing, shooting general sports stories & games, lives shots and natural sound packages. Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis.
