Web/Digital Content Producer – Alabama Public Television

Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking an experienced online producer to lead the content development, production, content organization/structure and ongoing maintenance for its Education website. The ideal candidate will have the requisite creative and technical skills to build upon APT’s existing presence on the Internet through the development and maintenance of ongoing content initiatives including the production and distribution of ongoing branded content, the creation of interactive and multimedia features, design improvements, and maintenance of back-end systems.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, journalism, media arts, or a related field, 2-3 years design and editorial experience, ability to manage the creation of digital content from concept through to delivery, experience with web storytelling, graphic design and motion graphics, strong written & verbal communication, design & technical skills.

Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Basic HTML; CSS, Flash and other relevant technology skills, working knowledge of social network platforms, their associated metrics platforms and Google Analytics, digital motion graphics, video editing and production, experience working in an educational setting and/or in the production of educational content.
