Alabama News Network / WAKA/CBS-8 TV and WNCF/ABC Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama is looking for a full time Assignment Manager. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all facets of the news assignment desk. As an Assignment Manager, the candidate must possess capable leadership skills within the entire news department. Duties include news staff scheduling, making beat-checks, monitoring scanner traffic, answering phones, getting information and developing stories. The candidate should be detail-oriented and well organized and also able to handle multiple tasks. Good news judgment and strong communication skills are a must. As a News Manager, candidate should be able to supervise at various times.
