JOB SUMMARY: WAFF is looking for an Anchor/Reporter who commands viewers attention. Must be a working journalist who investigate stories and is passionate about local news, breaking news and enterprising stories. Ready to jump on air or in the live streaming center.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Anchor Monday through Friday morning show and network cutins with energy and engagement.
• Regularly contributes story ideas in editorial meetings.
• This role is for a leader who doesn’t just want to sit behind a desk.
• Expected to enterprise ideas and loves to report.
• Collaborative with the entire team.
• Mentor young journalists.
• Develop sources and contacts.
• Dives into digital stories.
• Ready to go on air or stream when news breaks.

Requirements:
• 5 years of anchoring & reporting experience minimum.
• Exceptional news judgement.
• Strong writer.
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems.
• Involvement in community activities.
