Job Summary/Description:
WALA Fox 10News is looking for a dynamic producer to join its award-winning news and lifestyle team. The successful candidate must have a great attitude and desire to create memorable shows.
We are seeking someone to produce a newscast or lifestyle content. This may include Studio 10, our morning lifestyle show that highlights people, places, and events across the Gulf Coast.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
-For lifestyle content- schedule interesting and informative interviews and on-location shoots.
-Stack daily shows with feature stories of the day, along with live and recorded segments.
-Integrate sponsored and non-sponsored content to create entertaining and informational shows.
-For newscasts- use editorial judgment to help determine content of the newscasts.
-Write clear, concise, and accurate scripts for news stories.
-Work with reporters, anchors, news managers, and assignment editors to create unique, fast-paced newscasts.
-Enhance content with graphics, video, research, and station branding.
-Make time-sensitive decisions and facilitate breaking news.
-Oversee live broadcast from the control room.
-Post content to station’s website.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Candidate should have a college degree in journalism or related field.
Prior experience working in a newsroom is a plus.
Knowledge of ENPS newsroom system is a plus.
The position requires you to have a flexible schedule and fill-in on other shows as needed, including some holidays.
