COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION PRODUCER – WKRG/GULF COAST CW

The Commercial Production Producer creates video commercials and digital display ads for station clients to advertise on WKRG & Gulf Coast CW TV. Shoots and edits commercials for clients. Works closely with the marketing and sales teams. Must be organized and able to work independently.

Films, lights, and directs client commercial shoots both at the station and on location.
Edits and creates graphics for client commercials.
Designs digital display ads for clients.
Works closely with sales team to complete client commercials and display ads.
Works with news team to create sponsored vignettes.
Ensures that all content meets company standards for production quality.
Maintains calendar to balance busy shooting and editing schedules.
Ability to work independently to complete projects.
Ability to work in an office setting, in a studio, and on location for shoots.

Understanding of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.
Social Media posting to promote WKRG & Gulf Coast CW TV.

TECHNICAL MEDIA PRODUCER – WSFA

WSFA in Montgomery, Alabama, is currently accepting applications for a Technical Media Producer (“TMP”) to work overnights and weekends. The schedule is a 10 hour/4-day workweek with 3 days off. (Please apply only if you can work this schedule.) TMPs work with newscast producers to create, code, and direct live newscasts and productions using Ross Overdrive automation systems. The TMP is responsible for master control operations, including rolling commercial breaks, monitoring the on-air signal of WSFA and 4 subchannels, noting EAS and emergency notifications, and ingesting commercials. This position interacts between the news, sales, and engineering departments, requiring good communication skills. Computer literacy is required.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Work alongside newscast producers to create code for newscasts.
– Direct live newscasts and recorded content.
– Monitor on-air signals for WSFA and 4 subchannels while keeping required FCC documentation for transmitter logs, EAS notifications, and closed captioning.
– Ability to set up satellite, LiveU, and microwave live shots.
– Ingest commercials and communicate with sales and traffic departments to ensure commercial spot delivery.
– Maintain discrepancy reports to document on-air issues with programming and newscasts. Assist engineering with studio maintenance and upkeep.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Position desires someone with at least one year’s experience at a commercial TV station.
– A background in communications with strengths in video and editing is desired.
– Newscast directing experience is a plus.
– Master Control Operator experience is also a plus.
– A keen interest in computer technology is highly desired.

Division Director – Membership & Pledge – APT Foundation

The Director of Membership & Pledge will be responsible for sustaining and expanding the membership base and overseeing pledge campaigns for APT as well as our public radio station, WLRH. This role is crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with our members and donors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all membership fundraising programs and contributions for APT and WLRH,
including print, digital, texting, and email campaigns. Manage the accounting for on-
air, web, call-in pledges, direct mail pledges, emails, text pledges, bank lock box
contributions, Matching Gifts programs, and CARS programs.
• Lead and manage the Membership & Pledge team, providing guidance, support, and
performance feedback.
• Respond to any escalated calls, voice messages, emails, and written correspondence
from members.
• Prepare departmental budgets for Membership & Pledge and Development.
• Seek new fundraising opportunities to increase revenue for APT and WLRH.
• Provide monthly donor data to the Contributor Development Partnership (CDP) and
evaluates ROAR reports provided by CDP to determine fundraising opportunities.
• Provide pledge program performance data to Management, Public Information, PBS,
and to Program Services during all pledge drives as representative of APT.
• Work with Development Department to analyze membership records and select best
candidates for Major Gifts and Planned Giving mailings.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, accounting, communications, or related
field
• Proven experience in membership management, preferably in a nonprofit

WBRC Fox6 News is looking for a dynamic producer to join its award-winning news team. Successful candidates must utilize strong editorial, journalistic and communication skills. Our producers have multiple live capabilities to put together an informative, fast-paced newscast.
This position is for a M-F, 11am -12p newscast. The position requires you to have a flexible schedule and fill-in on other shows as needed, including some holidays.
